‘Vettel under threat for F1 Championship Title’

Ferrari has been considering an appeal against the result of Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix. Sebastian Vettel may be penalised for allegation due to him over taking Fernando Alonso while a yellow flag was displayed. The Australian Red Bull driver became sixth which gave him the points to become the Drivers’ World Championship.

The Sunday Gran Prix in Brazil was for the upmost a success for the Red Bull driver while he became a champion to his fans and family he also became a rival and a cheat to others. Ferrari are claiming that Vettel should receive a 20 second deduction to his time due to over taking while a yellow flag was displayed, this can be the difference between Vettel wining and Alonso losing. A statement from David Croft, the Sky Sport F1 Commentator posted was stating that maybe Sebastian may have finished eighth or higher had he had the penalty. ‘”Vettel finished sixth on Sunday… enough to see him points ahead of Ferrari’s Alonso” said Croft.

While the story has been posted all over the world, Red Bull are yet to display any defence or any knowledge that they know about the appeal. On their twitter site ‘Red Bull Racing’ the buzz of Vettel’s win still lingers as they are tweeting pictures from a photo-shoot after the racing stating he is a “champion” and on their official website their top story is still on Vettel’s win.

While the buzz for Red Bull still goes on, fans on F1 and other social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook has stroked controversy while some still think even though the recently leaked video on YouTube means nothing and that he is still the champion other believe he should be deducted the seconds because others suffered this during the season. Jack Williams from Forth, South Lanarkshire stated on Facebook “Well he passes under yellow flags, illegal unless he let the car back past. He didn’t so I’d say he was in the wrong and should be penalised for it!” and Twitter also shows Andrew Burt from Lanark, South Lanarkshire agreeing that he should get seconds deducted “if he is guilty then they have to deduct him points”

While fans of F1 on Facebook and Twitter are agreeing that he should be deducted as that is the fair choice, the argument is heating up on YouTube within the leaked video of the drivers overtake when fans of both sides are defending their drivers. User jigglediggle29 stated “Alonso, what a bad loser and big mouth” and user DIPSITE2dey “Red Bull is a team with their own brand of dirty tactics …” At this point in the process it is unclear of Ferrari’s decision as to have a protest or not as they need to have it done by the 30th of November. Ferrari are currently analysing the video and determining if anything threatens the champion results “Anything that threatens the credibility of the championship has to be examined.” David Croft issued “let’s just wait and see what happens” The investigation continues.
